Admission


The CinDay Academy is looking for students & families who desire to have the same mission and philosophy as our school.  We want students who want to learn and families that want the best for their children.  We also want our parents to support the school through volunteering & fundraising efforts.

The Admission Process: Early Childhood (Preschool- PreK)

The admission process is completing the application, including payment of fees. Screening is required.

The Admission Process: Primary—Middle School

The admission process is a 3 step process: Completing the online Application, Teacher Recommendation and Admissions Testing.  We also reserve the right to have a Family Interview.

  1. Complete the application
    • Applications for fall admission are accepted starting the first school day in February. However, if you are interested in attending during a current school year, contact the school office at 937.748.1991.  To be considered for admission, please complete this application
  2. Admission Testing
    • Upon review of the completed application file, an applicant will have a shadow day or screening observation.  Any previous testing conducted by the current school or outside source, must be submitted at this time.

Family Interview

  • Applicants being considered for acceptance may be contacted to schedule a family interview. Family interviews are conducted by the Principal and both parents (when applicable) are required to attend with their student(s). This is the time to learn more about The Academy’s distinctive education program and administration, to state your reasons for seeking enrollment, and discuss your child’s curriculum, extracurricular interests, and expectations for student life.

The  Admission Process:  High School

The admission process is a 4 step process: Completing the Online Application, Teacher Recommendation, Interview and Transcript/Testing Review.

  3. Student Interview
    • Applicants being considered for acceptance will be contacted for an interview.  This is the time to learn more about The Academy's distinctive education program and administration, to state your reasons for seeking enrollment, and discuss student's curriculum, extracurricular interests, and expectations for student life.
  4. Transcript Review
    • The applicant must submit a copy of their transcript to the admission committee for review. Any previous testing conducted by the current school or outside source, must be submitted at this time.

Admission Decisions

Each student’s file is reviewed by the Admission Committee. All discussions regarding applications are held in strict confidence. Admission decisions include the applicant’s potential for success in The Academy’s program and the parent’s desire for a multi-level classroom education for their child. Parents will be notified in writing of the Admission Committee’s decision.

Upon acceptance, please request to transfer a Records Request from your current school. An information package will be emailed to you in May and we will hold a School Orientation Day in August.

Withdrawal

If a student wishes to withdraw from the school, CDA will need a two month’s advance written notification of a student’s permanent withdrawal from the program to stop tuition (EFT) . The supply fee will be prorated over a 9 month period No school records will be released to the parents/guardians or to transferring schools until the withdrawal process has been completed and the financial account fulfilled.

CDA believes in a positive and constructive working relationship with the student and parent (guardian) Thus, CDA reserves the right to dismiss a student at the school’s discretion if the actions of the parent makes this impossible or if a student fails to abide by the rules and regulations of the school.  The continued enrollment needs to be in the best interest of the school and student. Dismissal of a student does not relieve a parent or guardian from the financial obligations as agreed to in the enrollment contract. In addition, notice of withdrawal will be given to the student’s district of residence.
