EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP
The CinDay Academy participates in The Educational Choice (EdChoice) Scholarship Program. This program provides students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to use state funding to attend a participating private school and offers income-based scholarships. In addition, it provides students who are entering kindergarten through 12th grade scholarship opportunities based on household income level. Please note that the EdChoice Scholarship does not cover school fees and may not cover full tuition. To learn more about the program and a family’s financial responsibility, please refer to the EDCHOICE ELIGIBILITY AND FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CHART and visit the Ohio Department of Education website.
The EdChoice Scholarship: Frequently Asked Questions
-
Ohio’s EdChoice Scholarship Program enables all Ohio students to receive vouchers to attend private schools. Students from families at or below 450% of the federal poverty level receive a voucher valued at $6,166 for Grades K-8 and $8,408 for Grades 9-12 for the 2024-25 school year while students in higher income brackets receive progressively reduced voucher amounts. Please Note: A family’s size is also factored into the value of the voucher.
-
Historically, the scholarship program has only served students who reside in a failing school district or have a family income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. This changed in 2023 when Governor DeWine passed a biennial budget that opened the scholarship program up to all families in Ohio. The amount of the full voucher received by each family is determined by their income level.

Every K-12 student in Ohio is eligible for the scholarship regardless of their family’s place of residence or annual income. Please Note: This scholarship cannot be combined with the Jon Peterson Scholarship Program.
